| Alacard_Medri07-05-07, 12:03 PM | Hi everyone. First I am trying to make a Drow fighter who I eventually want to ride a giant spider. Right now I have finished everything I need to create him except his skills and feats. I want him to have a greatsword so I gave him the feat weapon focus (greatsword) but I still get a bonus feat for being a fighter and I dont know what to pick. Next I want my drow to be sneaky as all hell. so I was thinking about the move silently skill and some other things that would boost it and his sneak attack ability. Finally I am not quite sure when I can use my skills like move silently, and some of the drow darkness skills. Any advice for this newbie would be greatly appreciated. |

I will assume that you know that sneak attack is rogue ability that a fighter can’t use, and go with what I think you intended you want to improve your ability to surprise an opponent. So unless the Drow all have a racial proficiency in hide and move silently they are cross class skills for a fighter. So you will never be awesome with them with out magical aid. Hiding from something or someone with darkvision requires cover or concealment that their darkvision can’t penetrate. This makes surprising any creature in the underdark very difficult or impossible in most cases. So I would suggest skills like Climb, and Jump these 2 can be very useful in the cave setting of the underdark. Also you need Ride, given that you want to ride an exotic mount it is a very important skill. |

I dont have my drow of the underdark book with me because Im at work, but Ill look at it when I get home and prpose some things to you guys. Drow have some very unique skills just for them in ways of stealthiness, and it doesn't say I need rogue like prerequisites. |
