Scheming
You are adept at coming up with long term plans and executing them with grace, However spontineity is not one of your virtues. As good as you are at achieving your long term goals, your short term plans are lacking.
Benefit
Whenever you spend a full round action to think, you gain a +2 on the contested roll you were contimplating.
Drawback
Whenever unable to consider your actions fully, you are unsure of yourself and take a -1 on contested rolls.
Roleplaying Ideas
Characters with this trait might prefer planning ahead, and usually go through important conversations in their head before they have them. Usually characters with this trait spend enormous amounts of time planning out important interactions.

Spontaneous
Plans? The future? Who needs em?! You often react before thinking, trusting your instincts and luck above all.
Benefit
You gain a +2 to all cheacks that take a round or less to preform.
Drawback
Unable to plan ahead, you take a -1 on all checks taking longer than a round. This increces to -2 for checks taking longer than an hour.
Roleplaying Ideas
Characters with this trait typically rush into battle without considering the landscape, letting events unfold as they may. Other characters are impressed with how quickly a spontaneous character can preform a task. Spontaneous characters often get bored with projects, and wish to be doing something rather than thinking about doing something.

I like this new trait. It seems like it would be a great wizard trait.

Two questions- exactly what skills are contested rolls, and what limits are there on having a full action to think.

Contested, as opposed, in which case, you'd get +2 bluff, hide, bull rush, disarm, trip, grapple. forgery, spot, listen, move silently, intimidate.

Doesn't make much sense.

Full action to think- is that just before, or can you think about it long beforehand, and then put it into practise.

Doesn't make much sense. Your not thinking about it enough then. If i took about 6 seconds to think of a good lie, then said it, it stands to reason that it would be a better lie than just blurting one out. Likewise if I watch you fight and hold that weapon for a round, I should be more able to take it away from you. In game this would be like listening under a door(which I honestly have never seen anyone do, even though this would feasable remove the penalty for listening through a door.), or, by putting cupped hands around your ear then putting it to the door, instead of just putting your ear to the door. For spot it would be stepping under the shade of a tree, so the sun is out of your eyes before actively looking, and things like that. It makes real life sense.

Either, though it is important to note that you can only see so far into the future, and plan only so far ahead. This would hinder you any time you were ambushed, or put into any situation you could not forsee. Seriously, taking a full 6 seconds to contemplate a trip action is a major waste of time in battle, and that 6 seconds you took before lying to the guard, is probably gunna make him more suspicious.
