What obscure things have people done with the Craft skill? Only certain crafts have special rules for them but there are so many other names mentioned on SRD and the players handbook. Take this for example, normally gnomes are good with alchemy, but I hate alchemy, IMO I think its not worth taking and too cost/time consuiming. However in our campaign we have a habit of finding gems and I'm playing a Bard who has things like magnifying glasses and masterwork tookkits and merchant scales. Therefore I fancy gemcutting which is mentioned, but not explained. How would gemcutting work in the game and how could you go about setting DC's and effects for it?
