| Kurama Youko08-27-07, 04:54 AM | Okay, heres what im thinking. I was looking at the requirements to this feat and couldn't help but notice (which is why im asking the opinion of others.) that all it list is knowledge arcana 4 and a arcane caster lv of 3. Will if im not mistaken once you take a feat that grants you a spell-like abilities particularly any of the ones under the heritage feats listed in the complete mage, you have a arcane caster level equal to your character level correct? I ask this with the intention of possibly making a divine spellcaster enter a prestige class that list the ability to summon a familiar as a class feature. So im wondering what others take on this might be? |

| Kurama Youko08-27-07, 01:22 PM | yeah but i believe an adept also has a spell level cap of like 6 which defeats any actually use for it. |
| Puca08-27-07, 01:29 PM | Im not actually endorsing this, but one can go Adept, gaining the familiar as a class ability, and then go into ur-priest prior to entering the second PrC (Is Fleshwarper the class you are looking at?) With its independantly granted spellcasting, you can advance your ur-priest casting with a "+1 per level" PrC, like the Fleshwarper. |
| Kurama Youko08-27-07, 01:41 PM | yes i was looking at the fleshwarper but now im not so sure its what I want to do. Actually its mostly because divine spellcasters have next to no non campagin specific prestige classes that don't pigeonhole them into the role of party healer. *sigh* |
