Obtain Familiar feat [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-04-07, 11:53 AM I have 2 questions on this feat:

1) Does it still take 24 hours and use up magical materials that cost 100 gp to obtain the familiar with this feat ?

2) Since the prereq is 3rd arcane caster level, does the familiar immediately get the Deliver Touch Spells ability ?

(note that I don't have access to CA right now)

I would assume so. I'd have to read the exact wording on the feat.

2) Since the prereq is 3rd arcane caster level, does the familiar immediately get the Deliver Touch Spells ability ?
Yes. Unless there's something specific in the feat that says they don't then it should follow the same rules.

So far as I know, this just exisits to give some of the non-standard arcane casters the chance to get a familiar.

Yes it does. The feat simply grants you the ability to gain a familiar as a sorcerer or wizard does. It doesn't remove the process used.
