| zook1shoe66608-07-07, 02:26 PM | i didn't see anyone asking this.... Can you already have a familiar and take the Obtain Familiar [Complete Arcane] to gain another? the feat did not really say anything against that. |
| tarkin08-07-07, 03:33 PM | There is a rule about not having more than one familiar. Specifically if you are a multi-class wizard plus sorceror you only get a single familiar, but your levels stack for purposes of what powers he gets. |
| HermitIX08-07-07, 03:35 PM | If you take levels in a class that gives you arcane spells but not a familiar (like a prestige class, or bard) you can take this feat so your familiar improves with those levels as well as your wizard/sorcerer levels. |

| HermitIX08-09-07, 02:32 AM | Does that apply retroactively? (: i think it does. i have always played that it does, and i dont see how it would be overly powerful if it was retroactive. |

| HermitIX08-09-07, 02:35 PM | I think “extra familiar” is in dragon 280. |
