However, an ocular spell is required to affect a single target, even if the original could affect many, so you could not split the magic missiles. (But when you use the Ocular spell feat, you get upto two ocular spells, each of which may affect a different target if you so choose). |
| Chronus1304-05-07, 12:49 AM | Well, that's good. Now my next question is: If I used the Ocular Spell feat for Magic Missle and I was eligible to cast 5 missles (as per max number of missles) would I only let loose 1 Ray that does 5d4+5 or just 1d4+1? They give an example of an 11th level Wizard casting 2 Scorching Rays (yes, I know it is Ray specific) and still dealing 3 rays each from the feat. See, my first thought would be yes since Magic Missle states "Up to five creatures, no two of which can be more than 15 ft. apart" |

The feat can be applied to ray-effect spells or spells with a Target: entry that are not Personal. Magic Missile fulfils the latter. You can't however, store something like an Orb of Acid, because that neither has targets (being an Effect: spell) nor produces the effect of a ray. |
