Opinon on the Fey and Fienish heritage feats [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-07-07, 11:22 AM I know they are quiet old now, but I just wanted to go on record by saying how awesome these feats are, and really wish they had made more feats like these for other heritages.

a list of some of the reasons why I like them so much.

1.) Number 1 reason why I like them so much is that they have flavor some of the more drab classes, especially the Cha oriented ones. You see to my knowledge since it wasn't mentioned in the feats, all the DC's are Cha based just like the ruling on Spell-Like Abilities states. So classes like the Favored Soul who usually got go for high DC spells can grab these feats and with their high Cha gain 3 or 4 offensive 1/day spell-like abilities. :)

2.) I love how they stack with classes/races and feats. a Fiendish Heritage feat line Favored Soul or Warlock can up their Fire and Acid resistance considerably. A Fey Heritage line Favored Soul or Warlock can up their DR / Cold Iron pretty high to.

3.) There really is virtually no reason not to take them all, (for respective heritages that is.) I mean unlike the Dragon Heritage feats were some don't work for non sorcerers ( a real disappointment especially after Dragon Magic came out and tried to fix some of it, a DM would still have to special rule on some of them.) The Fey and Fiendish hertiage feats work on practically all characters but again just more so for high Cha oriented ones. :)

Anyone else have any takes on these feats?

08-07-07, 02:55 PM Since no one else was replying, I just wanted to say I love Fey Heritage (Fiendish not so much; I'm down on playing evil/fiendish/devilish characters). I don't have the build handy, but I made a Warlock/Eldritch Theurge/couple other dips who had all the Fey Heritage feats...I think he had DR 10/cold iron. Granted, it's not super-hard to get around, but it sure helps against natural attacks and angry peasants. :)

08-07-07, 04:05 PM here here, DR Cold Iron is indeed nice, and even for a straight warlock i would have to imagine having a real long distance dimension door, or summon nature's ally 5 is pretty damn nifty.
