| CainJustice08-07-07, 09:07 AM | Hello, When a ranger with a favored enemy of orc benefit from the same Favored enemy of Half-Orc??? Half orcs do have the orc blood...help? |
| Jason Snyder08-07-07, 09:23 AM | The SRD says this of half-orcs: "Orc Blood: For all effects related to race, a half-orc is considered an orc" So I'm about 99% sure that would apply to rangers and favored enemies. |
| Marendithas_the_Necro08-07-07, 09:29 AM | he is right |
| Amaril08-07-07, 01:52 PM | And the same for elves and half-elves? I've had situations when a ranger had elves as favored enemies, but I wasn't sure if it applied to half-elves. Then again the idea of favored enemy is knowing that creature's nature, so technically, half-elves and half-orcs might not be options for the ranger's favored enemies. It could at least be a bonus to those half-races. |
| StevenO08-07-07, 08:37 PM | Generally a Half-Orc would suffer all the good and ill effects of being an orc with the same being true for a half-elf and elf. With the DMs permission you may be able to drop the "race-blooded" part and then be treated as human but then you'd also give up potential benefits of the other race. |
| Novacat08-07-07, 09:38 PM | While the half-orc and half-elf don't specifically state it, I treat them as both human and their other half for all purposes related to race, including favored enemies. |
