Celestial Mount gives your special mount the Celestial Template. This can also be accomplished by taking the Planar Paladin substitution level. See the Paladin's Handbook (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=858849&highlight=paladin+handbook) for more info. |

Also, how do you get improved mounts such as a hippogriff, dragons, etc. What feats in general do you recommend for a Paladin? Thanks for the help! I believe that there was a guildeline in the DMG for getting other mounts - Paladin level = CR+3 if landbased, +4 if flying. However, afaik Dragons, at least, follow another progression as Draconomicon specifies you need a feat to get them and they still are available later than their CR would indicate. It's a pity - a VY Gold would be a cool mount for a level 11 paladin, and an adult Gold at level 20 is one heck of a nice capstone ability for a class that definitely needs a little extra oomph to live up to its requirements and trouble :D . Draconomicon and iirc Dragon Magic have feats for paladins to have somewhat draconic companions - some of which, like the DM Drakkensteeds, may be worth your time. Personally, I'd say a Gryphon would be a worthy mount for a paladin... but my personal favourite is a Couatl. You don't see that every day, let me tell you :D As for Battle Blessing and prestige pallys, I doubt it. I could imagine it applying to spells that otherwise appear on a paladin's list, however - didn't PPs get cleric spells and paladin spells on their list? |
