I have a friend who is a paladin/grayguard aasimar. He says that he can swift fly 15 feet and then charge and if it is a chaotic evil creature then he gets x3 damage when charging. Yesterday he charged the blighted relic from the Ravenloft expansion and did 160+ pts of damage. Is this true?

- swift fly 15 feet: with feats, maybe. IIRC there was something called outsider wings. Just from his aasimar race, however, no.

- triple damage on a charge: haven't heard of that one. A valorous weapon deals extra damage on a charge, and with such a weapon, and the PHB II charging smite variant only gets extra smite damage. With a valorous weapon and charging smite he'd probably triple his smite damage, but the rest of the damage would only be doubled - unless he's got another thing doubling his damage, which would, however, quadruple his smite damage. Still, I haven't heard of any ability particularly dealing extra damage vs CEs. Might be some homebrew stuff, as well.

Are you sure he's not a soulborn or some such? Both of those sounds like abilities granted from soulmelds, and there's probably a way for a soulborn to meet the Grey Guard prerequisites. On a completely unrelated note, aasimar grey guard... Sigh.
