what attack bonus' do you use for the attack? the text says " when charging and wielding a weapon in each hand you can attack with both of your weapons. you loose the attack bonus granted by a charge but keep the ac penalty.

so just so i understand this feat...... you use use your highest base attack for both hits but do you apply twf penaties too? it seems like you are twf ing since its a requirement for the feat and the extra attack is not your normal extra attack for a high bab since its from your off hand. it doesnt really say if there is a penalty that i can determine. phb2 pg 84 btw

i plan to take this feat for my scout/dervish for some extra attack power when im not dervish dancing. i dont really want to take a level of barbarian for xp penalty and flavor reasons.

thanks

1) Barbarian rage can be replaced with favored enemy and combat styles as a ranger. I personally greatly dislike the idea of raging, but I love the rest of barbarian (or rather their alternate features). Of course, I don't know what race you are using so I don't know how to avoid the xp penalties. I generally only play humans though. I feel as though a feat is almost always better than +2 to a stat.

2) Two-weapon pounce is worded badly, much like many other D&D supplements. It basically means that the +2 charging bonus offsets the -2 TWF penalty. Rather than saying that you are penalized for TWF and the charge bonus cancels it, they thought it was somehow less confusing to say you get to attack with both weapons without the normal charging bonus.

Anyway, long story short, lets say your attack bonus is +6. When you charge you attack once with a +8. When you use TWF and a full attack, you get +4/+4/-1. When you make a two-weapon pounce, you get +6/+6.

thanks for the quick and accurate reply. i should hit level 8 tonight but right now i'm a human ranger2/scout4/dervish1. my final build should be ranger 11/scout4/dervish 5. by the time i saw the barbarian pounce i was way into this feat intensive build . if i had it to do again i'd make a pouncing scout instead but i like where i'm going with this. i'll only have 3 dervish dances but with the lions pounce ranger spell, a belt of battle, and the pounce feat i should be able to consistantly skirmish for good damage.
