| =BR=Luckyshot03-10-07, 07:35 PM | are there any optional rules or 3rd party rules for making poisons with higher DCs or different types(exe:contact, digestion, ect) |
| Tharivol_Nailo03-10-07, 08:46 PM | Different from what? What sources are you using? |
| =BR=Luckyshot03-10-07, 10:11 PM | different types, like contact poison, inhaled poison different ways of delivering posion. just using the stuffs from standard dnd |
| PhaedrusXY03-11-07, 01:57 PM | All of those types of poison are already in the core rules (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#poison), and they all have prices listed for them. Rules on making them aren't exactly in the core rules, however. There was a description of a Craft: Poisonmaking skill in some book or another, and some people also just let Craft: Alchemy cover them. By far the most effective way to make them is to take a level of Psion (Shaper) and the power Minor Creation. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/minorCreationPsionic.htm) You can make boatloads of plant based poisons for a single power point with that, and they last 1 hour per level. |
| paladin201903-11-07, 02:16 PM | Quick question, since I don't have BoVD, which covers it. Does a crafter risk poisoning himself if he doesn't have the poison use class ability? |
| HellflameArcanite03-11-07, 02:26 PM | It seems to me that poison is more harvested than made, usually from deadly monsters. Carrion Crawler Brain Juice, Purple Worm Poison, Large Scorpion Venom, etc. It might be vaguely related to a Survival check (similar to skinning animals) to extract the poison safely. |
