| Highfather07-31-07, 09:18 PM | does power attack get increased when a crit is rolled? |
| Witch07-31-07, 09:25 PM | Yes. |
| Einvaldurinn_mikli07-31-07, 09:44 PM | Yes. |
| Tempest Stormwind07-31-07, 10:15 PM | And HERE'S how to answer it for yourself. We look at the rules, under Combat, then under Damage, to find Multiplying Damage (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#multiplyingDamage). Sometimes you multiply damage by some factor, such as on a critical hit. Roll the damage (with all modifiers) multiple times and total the results. Note: When you multiply damage more than once, each multiplier works off the original, unmultiplied damage. Exception: Extra damage dice over and above a weapon’s normal damage are never multiplied. Note, roll all damage will all multipliers and total the results. The only exception is if you get extra damage dice. Is Power Attack extra damage dice (i.e. +10d6) or is it a flat bonus (i.e. +10)? There's your answer. |
| Nom07-31-07, 10:20 PM | No. But as a non-die-modifier to damage, you apply it to each "roll" of your damage. The rules for crits are simple: "roll the damage (including all modifiers) multiple times and sum the result". There is one exception: "extra dice of damage are not multiplied". |
| Witch08-01-07, 06:24 AM | No. But as a non-die-modifier to damage, you apply it to each "roll" of your damage. That would make it a yes, not a no. |
| TorgSmackie08-01-07, 01:31 PM | He's saying 'no' to 'does power attack get increased'. The Power Attack damage bonus doesn't really change, it just gets added more than once. But I think this thread is already nit free. |
| Highfather08-01-07, 03:06 PM | than you all :) |
