03-26-08, 10:03 PM I know there are other profession threads out there but this one is a little more specific.

I have a first time player making a 1st level swashbuckler that she plans to prestige into a Dread Pirate.

Out of curiosity what are some ways that Profession (sailor) can be used? I want to make full use of this as her DM, so I'd like hear some of everyone's ideas and opinions on tasks this skill could encompass. I already know that the PHB itself gives the examples of tying certain knots, tending and repairing sails, and standing watch on deck at sea.

Thanks in advance!

03-26-08, 10:44 PM Stormwreck has expanded uses for Profession (sailor). I don't have the book though, so I'm not entirely sure what the additional uses entail.
