You can earn money based on a profession check, when you are hired for the job. You roll a dice as you would do with any other skill, for profession check. If you want to make money by creating certain tangible objects, you have to use craft skill. |

Player's handbook, page 80, 1st paragraph under the heading Profession. It gives a list of what professions are available. Like craft, perform and knowledge, you take each profession as a separate skill. If you place 5 skill points in profession, you could have 5 ranks in "sailor", 3 in "farmer" and 2 in "scribe", so on and so forth... This is the quickest way to get your posts reported and receive a notice from a WizO, (forum moderator), as well as get labeled a troll/spammer. I would suggest you go back, re-read the CoC, (Code of Conduct; available here (http://boards1.wizards.com/community_coc.php)), and take note of this; spamming through repeated posts, or off-topic content by word or intent to boards or lists (e.g. scrolling, flooding, polling, or by "bumping" a boards post more than once in 48 hours) Since you're new here, I just figured I'd give you a friendly "heads up" about what's going to cause you trouble. You did, after all, agree to the CoC when you signed up with the boards. ;) Just my :twocents: |
