Bat_manuel 04-10-08, 12:10 PM	For our cohorts and other underlings, do they come with their own level-calculated gold when I acquire one, or do they join with me with a loincloth and a stick? I couldn't find specifics in the PHB or DMG where they blatantly state where the cohorts get their equipment. I know they get a portion of the loot like a PC and half XP.
Valis 04-10-08, 12:13 PM	A cohort is treated as an NPC. You calculate his gear and stats based off of the NPC charts located in the DMG. I generally do elite stats for NPC's 15,14,13,12,10,8 and then just look at NPC wealth for the NPC...past that any wealth gained by the PC's is where he needs to equip the cohort.

XP is not half. XP follows a formula: cohort level/PC level * PC's XP awarded
