| BW87903-05-07, 05:09 PM | I'm hopeing this is the right place for this question. Anyway, first a quick background. I'm currently playing a 10th level Warmage in a campaign here at school and for the first time last game I finally used my Sudden Empower class skill. I rolled my touch attack for my Orb of Force, when the DM told me it hit I declared that I wanted to use my Sudden Empower and he oked it. Another player however corrected him, saying that I have to declare the Sudden Meta Magic feat BEFORE I roll for the attack, not after. So my question is, who was right? I know it comes down to the DM's call but for future refence, who was right rules-wise? Can I Sudden (MMF) after I see if the attack hits or do I have to do it before hand? |

| cwslyclgh03-05-07, 05:17 PM | yep |
| Zherog03-05-07, 05:17 PM | Correct. |
| Zardnaar03-05-07, 05:18 PM | You are supposed to apply the feat when you cast the spell but before you make an attack roll. Your DM is either kind or wrong. |
