I believe that you most use a perform skill to use the abilities of Bardic Music. I am using optional rules presented in Quintessential Bard I and II for playing my bard and focusing in storytelling as my perform skill. I also notice that some of the effects needed an instrument for specific uses of the bardic music ability. I want to see if I can combine my use of Bardic Music with the optional rules for storytelling and enhance the performance with multiple uses of bardic music. In example use the ability of a storyteller to bring story characters to "life" by using phantoms or shadows or summoning the fictional characters and play music. Long story short do I need to do multiple perform checks for different aspects or should I have an incremental DC on a concentration check per additional element I put into my performance. If I do add +x/element added to performance what should 'x' be? |

Nothing prevent you to talk while doing so, unless it's a wind instrument like flute. Although your Story should be more listened if you perform well on your skill check. |
