| herrdoktor02-28-08, 01:30 AM | i don't know of a ruling, though i would suppose so (it's prob. one of the main reasons that what ability it's keyed off is listed (that and increasing it when advancing monsters)) |
| runestar02-28-08, 02:02 AM | Yes. I expect some jokes about the trog saying like "You don't like me when I am angry!". It then proceeds to rage, and everyone falls down from its now stronger stench...:P |

When a special ability allows a saving throw, the kind of save and the save DC is noted in the descriptive text. Most saving throws against special abilities have DCs calculated as follows: 10 + ½ the attacker’s racial Hit Dice + the relevant ability modifier. The save DC is given in the creature’s description along with the ability on which the DC is based.A change to an ability modifier is effective for all purposes that the rules or the source of the change do not explicitly exclude. So yes, if the Trog rages the save DC against his stench does increase. Raging increases the save DC against anything that requires a Fort save (unless the raging creature has a null Con score). Wyvern Barbarian, anyone? |
