| Despot_Arrow04-05-07, 02:54 PM | In the Libris Mortis book there is a feat that says that you are healed by negative energy and harmed by positive energy as if you are an undead. Does this feat make you act like a undead to all negative energy effects, such a enervation spell? I could type the feat but that might get me in trouble. |
| R4za04-05-07, 03:29 PM | Realistically speaking, it would. Strictly by the rules, it'd depend on the exact wording of the feat and every spell and effect involved. |
| Yadot04-05-07, 03:41 PM | No, the feat only mentions that your healing is reversed like an Undead. |
| ClementWillowbreaker04-05-07, 06:24 PM | Take Font of Life (Heroes of Horror and probably LM, too) for protection from negative levels. TTS doesn't do it alone. |
| HarlequinHelsing04-05-07, 06:40 PM | RAW, no. Common sense-wise, yes. Unfortunately, D&D is like the bully on the playground who's 7 years old and shaves, and common sense is the quiet kid with the taped glasses and the pocket protector (ironically, common sense probably plays D&D in this analogy). Let's just say they don't get along too well. |
| runestar04-07-07, 12:04 AM | I fail to see how common sense can factor into this discussion when the feat itself already explicitly delineates what it can and cannot achieve...? |
| Zenogias04-07-07, 01:36 AM | Here's an idea..... Get Tomb Tainted, then cast Spark of Life upon yourself. Receive hit points from both Positive and Negative Energy = Profit |
| IonizedChicken04-07-07, 07:55 AM | 1) get Tomb Tainted Soul 2) Cast Spark of Life 3) ??? 4) Profit. You aren't supposed to say what the '???' is. That's like a criminal offense, man. Anyway, Tomb-Tainted works only for negative energy damage, not negative levels and the like. And yes, I also fail to see how common sense factors in here. It's a feat. It only has meaning in the rules of the game, not in the game itself. |
