Hi!

Lets say, i take the Empower Spell-like Ability feat at 6th level and choose my Eldritch Blast to be effected, which is a 1st level spell-like ability.
When I use the Eldritch Spear blast shape invocation on my Eldritch Blast, that makes it 2nd level, can I still use my Empower feat on it?
I think I can't.
But what happens when I reach level 8?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I think I can't.You are correct. A character with CL6 cannot Empower an SLA equivalent to a second level spell. But what happens when I reach level 8?A character with CL8 can use Empower SLA with a second-level spell equivalent.

This continues to increase in linear fashion.

I think the real question here is, "Do basic Eldritch Blast and Eldritch Blast modified by eldritch essences/blast shapes count as the same power?"

Say you're level 16 (so you can Empower a 6th level spell-like ability)
Does a Repelling Blast (Eldritch Blast) count as Eldritch Blast or do I have to take Empower Spell-Like Ability (Repelling Blast) to effect it?

The Eldritch Blast is simply one power. It can be modified by eldritch essences and blast shapes, but it's still an eldritch blast. Its base spell level is 1, but that may temporarily change depending on what you modify it with.
