| DrMorganes03-02-07, 10:21 AM | Not that I'm aware of. The longer load time on a crossbow helps balance this feat. One shot for sneak attack damage, then move. Feel free to house rule - or ask your DM to do so - this to work with bows, but I don't think I'd allow it in my game. |
| Thanatose03-02-07, 11:55 AM | Can any one sigest a rework of the feat to work with normal bows that would be fair. say with useing like the need to make it a full round action or some thing |
| tarkin03-02-07, 01:42 PM | For a bow, it sounds like an Epic feat to me. I could alsoe see a magic item, that lets you do it out to 60 ft as a full round action that makes a single attack. Honestly, this ability makes very little sense, even for crossbows. It barely is within balance purposes, only because the crossbow is already a fairly weak item. Ranged Sneak Attack etc, is intentionally limited to 30 ft in part to ensure that the next round, the victim WILL be in melee range. Logically, it makes little sense for someone to be able to make the kind of precision attacks out at a real range without significantly increasing shot time and also some magic/scientific aid. |

On the other hand, there's not a lot of difference between a crossbow with Rapid Reload and a bow (for a rogue anyway, who probably won't have a very high Str.) I suppose if you make a feat to allow 60 ft sneak attacks with a bow, you could just make a prereq of Rapid Reload and it wouldn't be much different. |
