| Tsank03-01-07, 04:11 PM | I know this has probably been asked before but I tried searching the boards manually, looking at the FAQ, and searching on Google but couldn't find anythign that answered my question. So here it is: Robilars Gambit States - Anyone who strikes at you gets a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls against you, in return they provoke AoO's from you each time they swing. Resolve your AoO after your foe's attack. So my question is this. What exactly constitutes an "attack/swing"? If they attempt any of the special attack options, such as Grapple, Bull Rush, Sunder, Trip, and Disarm do you get that AoO? So basically give me a format like this - Bull Rush - No Grapple - Yes Trip - Yes Disarm - Yes Sunder - Yes I dont know how exactly to rule on it which is why i'm asking the question so just ignore my answers to the above they do not reflect my views as I have no view on it at the moment. Its just an example. Also for the purpose of this, assume that if your opponent attempts either a Disarm or Sunder against you, you have another weapon with which to attack or are attacking with Unarmed strikes. So what do you think? |
| tarkin03-01-07, 04:15 PM | Graple initaties it when they do a Grab. But I don't think you get it after they have succusfully grabed you and are now trying to say, Pin you. |
| Tsank03-01-07, 11:27 PM | Ok so that answers my question on Grapples. So for a grapple, the touch attack initiates it. So how about for the other special attacks? |
| runestar03-02-07, 01:34 AM | Basically, anything with an attack roll should constitute an attack. I think...:P |
| Tsank03-02-07, 02:00 PM | I personally agree with you runestar. The problem is, Disarm and Sunder technically do not involve attack rolls as much as they do OPPOSED attack rolls. It's this problem that has me confused on if Robilars triggers or not. On a Bull Rush, however, i would say that it does not trigger. Though you are using an "attack" to perform the manuever their is no opposed attack roll, just an opposed strength check. Well what does everyone else think? |
