08-22-07, 10:20 PM How does Quicken SLA work with Eldritch Blast? Am I wrong thinking it will get me 2 EB's per round? What would the damage dice for each EB be at 20th level with a normal EB of 9d6? Would I have to take this feat twice if I take the Hellfire Warlock PrC that can change my EB to the Hellfire Blast?

and I would say no, Hellfire it just modifies the blast.

08-22-07, 11:45 PM Yup, it works. Also, you can add blast shapes and essences to those quickened blasts. However, you have to make sure the new spell level equivalent with the blast shape or essence isn't above the maximum allowed for the quicken SLA feat.

It would work if EB meets the requirements.
It has a daily limit of uses.
It has a level requirement based on the level of the ability used (so if EB increases in level as you level it may not work)
Damage dice would stay the same, what makes you think it would change?
If your EB is now called Hellfire Blast, you would need to take Q_SLA again for Hellfire Blast and your old EB one would be useless.

It's something you can apply or not to your Eldritch Blast, not a separate form of Eldritch Blast. If you can Quicken an Eldritch Blast you can make it a Quickened Hellfire Blast.

ETA I found the excerpt (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20061207a&page=3) WotC published on the Hellfire Warlock.

08-23-07, 07:27 PM even the excerpt doesn't state that Hellfire Blast is an essence invocation. So it is perfectly reasonable to have a Vitriolic Hellfire Spear, or Utterdark Hellfire Cone :D

But yah, 3/day you can shoot twice. Might also want to ask your DM if you can homebrew some spell-like ability feats out of other metamagic feats; like Twin Spell, Split Ray Spell, Non Lethal Substitution Spell, etc.
