The dwarf count the dwarven waraxe as a martial weapon, is this also true for elves and elven X-blade (courtblade, thinblade) etc.?

Thanks

The weapon familiarity of the dwarf is a specific racial feature that grants them familiarity with the war axe and urgosh. Note that:

It does not extend to any other dwarven weapons.
It does not extend to other races and their racial weapons.

So, in short, it needs to be explicitly stated in the race.

If you take the improved weapon familiarity you get it with every weapon that has the name of your race on it.

Elven weapons are not of racial weapon familiarity.

As a side note,
In Complete Warrior p154-p155, it states that it can be unfair, if more race-specific weapons are introduced, thus that DM had better limit the number of race-specific weapons.
It also says that the choice of weapons should be made at the character creation, if you decided to limit it.
It seems that dwarves, gnomes and other races with racial weapon familiarity are familiar with all their racial weapons, though it is advised to limit it.

Races are only familiar with those weapons listed in the Weapon Familiarity section of their race description.

The racial description of dwarves only lists waraxes and urgroshes so they still require an exotic weapon proficiency for the shield-axe.
