Your interest and experiments in spells dealing with light and refraction have provided you with a variety of options when casting them. Prerequisites: Knowledge: Arcana 8 ranks, ability to cast 1 Evocation spell with the "light" descriptor. When memorizing and casting "radiant" spells (evocation spells with the "light" descriptior as well as any spell with the words "rainbow" or "prismatic" in its title), you may choose to utilize any of the following three abilities: * When you cast a "radiant" spell you may choose to have it be accompanied by a bright flash of multicolored lights that dazzles all enemies within a 30' radius (centered on you) for one round. * When you cast a "radiant" spell with a variable effect corresponding to the colors produced by the spell, you may roll twice and choose either result to determine its effects. * Metamagic versions of your "radiant" spells take up spell slots one level lower than they ordinarily would. For example, a wizard with Radiant Mage and Empower Spell could memorize an empowered rainbow blast that filled one of his 3rd level spell slots rather than a 4th level slot. What do you think? Overpowered, not powerful enough to be worth it? - Ron ^*^
