Raise Max Dex [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-04-07, 11:39 PM Currently I am playing a fighter with a Dex of 16. I have been playing him as the stereotypical CG heavily armored fighter, and am looking for a way to equip him with full plate. My problem comes in with my high dex score. Is there any feats/armor proerties/augment crystals/materials that would up the Max dex provided by a set of armor?

ive been wracking my brain for a day or two and can't seem to find anything.

I have access to any 3.5 and most 3.0 books, aside from psionics- my personal choice-. I would also like to stay single classed fighter so no multi classing to something or prestige classing. Currently I am level 2, so im about to be at the point where i can buy a set of full plate.

Oh I would also be open to exotic heavy armors if anyone can think of one that is essentially full plate with higher max dex.

Yeah, Mithral would do it. Give you a max dex of +3. Don't bother raising your dex more and you are set.

06-05-07, 12:03 AM yeah, but you'll have to wait a while to be able to afford some mithral full plate. you're pretty much out of luck until then.

Articulation (Ex): A fighter ignores 2 points of armor check penalty and increases maximum Dex bonus of any armor he wears by +2. This ability does not stack with bonuses granted by mithral armor.

Hi there,

That is from Szatany's Ultimate Fighter, part of the Ultimate Classes he designed which are IMO fantastic! It took me about 10 sec to ditch the base normal classes and replace them with these.

I will not be using adaptation, as I don't like stanzys classes.
