Hi.

I was thinking if there exists a feat that grants you the ability to make attacks of opportunity with a ranged weapon, ie. within 30ft or something similar?

Oh my!!! Wouldn't that just be awesome? Although, I'm sure every bow-totin', combat reflexin', dex-monkey would love that one did..... it doesn't. Nor will it ever, due to it's game-breaking ability. Sorry.

I'm afraid Arrow Mind (the spell) and the Peerless Archer PrC are the closest you're going to get. Good luck in your quest.:D

To get something like an AoO, you could ready an action, right?

"I point my arrow at him. If he moves, I'm letting that arrow go."

Like in The Two Towers, when Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas are talking to Eomer. Eomer says something threatening to Gimli and Legolas pulls out his bow and nocks an arrow and points out that he can kill Eomer before Eomer can kill Gimli.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure he could do that in D&D. Legolas wins initiative, but then takes an action when he draws his bow and nocks an arrow. He couldn't then hold the rest of his action, could he?

Hmmm. It does seem like the rules should be able to accomodate this.

Drawing a weapon is a Move. Drawing ammunition is Free. Ready is Standard, so he readies an Attack action: "Attack Eomer if anyone attacks Gimli". Legolas and Eomer are aware of each other, so it's not a surprise round; Legolas gets a full round of actions if he wins initiative.

not that it matter, but Legolas probably had Quick Draw and P. Jackson had something called Artistic License. it's a hard feat to get from what i hear...

as for the OP: no feats that i know of. PrC and spells are the only options apart from attack mode. that is, weapons.
Yuan-ti Serpent Bow, x-bow bayonnets, that weird elven bow/club, etc. these allow you to threaten in melee w/out switching out weapons, but they're not going to threaten out to a bigass range that an arrow would allow.

Dragon Magazine #350 has a feat named Ranged Threat.

Prereqs are BAB +6, Combat Reflexes, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot.

If a creature within 15' takes an action that would provoke an AOO, you may make a single ranged attack against it at your highest attack bonus. This consumes all remaining AOOs for that round.
