Ranged feats and spells. [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-03-07, 06:42 AM Does Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot effect any spells? My friend insists they do, but that doesn't make any sense to me. Her logic is that some spells (Eldrich Blast, as an example) are 'Ranged Attacks' and since Precise Shot and Point Blank Shot effect ranged attacks, it works.

o.O Thoughts?

09-03-07, 06:47 AM Aye I believe they do take penalties for shooting into melee.

But then spells/Invocations are normally touch based which are a lot lower so shouldn’t be to much of a problem.

09-03-07, 10:04 AM Provided the spell requires an attack roll, then stuff like Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot apply. If the spell deals damage, then Point Blank Shot's bonus damage applies.
