I was wondering: if a paladin uses a smite via ranged weapon (either through Ranged Smite Evil or elf paladin substitution levels) in conjuction with Manyshot, can he make one smite attempt and have it apply to all missiles? I know skirmish and sneak attack don't, but they're ranged precision, so the same rulings may not apply. Could someone shed some insight on this?

Hmm, since manyshot uses one attack roll, yes, but since precision doesn't, no. It's a judgement call, one that I don't think falls under any rule writen, so which way is more balanced? I think it would be better to have it apply once, and this way is more supported by the rules than multiple times is.

Smite Evil must be delivered with one normal melee attack.
It says Ranged Smite Evil works just like Smite Evil. Thus, Ranged Smite Evil must be delivered with a normal ranged attack.
Since Manyshot is a stand-alone standard action, it's not a normal ranged attack, imo.

Even if it could be considered a normal ranged attack, it is not much different.
It's You that smite with an attack. Not your attack smite your foe, through you.
Smite Evil does not say you deal extra damage per hit. You just deal extra damage.
All in all, you don't double or triple smite, but just smite.

Makes sense.

All in all, you don't double or triple smite, but just smite.

Unless you're a Triadic Knight.
