Rapid Shot? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-12-07, 08:30 PM I currently have Point Blank Shot and Telling Blow. After becoming a 2nd level Ranger, I will get Rapid Shot as a Freebie and planned to pick up Precise Shot.

Will I be able to use Rapid Shot without having Rapid Reload if I use a light crossbow?

09-12-07, 09:22 PM EDIT, I was wrong, it says "any ranged weapon", so if you had rapid reload with a hand crossbow then you can use rapid shot, against all sensibility (at least, I think so). Need a light crossbow or hand crossbow.

09-12-07, 11:27 PM You can indeed use Rapid Shot with any ranged weapon you can load or draw as a free action. (So you need either Quickdraw or Rapid Reload to do it with any weapon but a bow or shuriken.)

What you need a bow for is Many Shot, which you'll pick up at level 6.
