I know you could use Arcane Thesis for this, but only for one spell. I thought there were other feats, non-epic, that allowed you to reduce the metamagic cost of using metamagic feats, but I can't remember their names.
Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

I would think of a feat, that lowers the raise in spell slot level by 1, to a minimum of 1. Think I've seen it somewhere.

Yes, that's the on I'm thinking about, but I can't find any trace of it.:(

Easy Metamagic, its in a dragon magazine i think, you apply it to a metamagic feat you have to reduce that feats slot increase by 1, to a minimum of +1.

Metamagic School Focus from complete mage

Incantatrix 10th level class feature

Practical Metamagic from Races of the Dragon.

That doesn't lower the level cost, IIRC. But thanks anyway.:)

Oh, sorry, then I messed up. I hadn't looked at that feat because I was thinking about Wizards.

Ah, well it does only apply to spontaneous casters and it does require draconic heritage as well.

I think there's a feat in the FR Shining South book that does what you're asking for to a limited degree but its been a long time since I looked at that supplement so I may be wrong. I vaguely recall the feat being similar to the Easy Metamagic feat from Dragon Magazine.

Guess I'll have to track down that book then. :)

Dweomer Keeper (CD web enhancement) 10th level ability reduces metamagic feats to by 1 (min 1, unless it was already 0)

Thanks, but it's for use in a Gish, so I can't really use this. :)

They may not be close to what you are looking for but there are two somewhat easy ways to transfer the cost of MM to something else.

The Divine Metamagic (X) feat allows you to apply your MM feat (X) to a spell with the normal slot increase covered by burning a number of Turn Undead attempts. Unfortunately it only works for divine spells (which I believe is clarified in the errata) and only works for one MM feat. Perhaps the most common use of this is to get around the +6 slots that Persistent Spell costs.

The other way of getting to use MM for "free" is with the Ultimate Magus's Augmented Spellcasting ability. Here you are burning a spell slot for one type of casting to cast a MMed spell of the other type without the slot increase. Here there are restrictions to what can be used and it is a fairly specific build.

Wu-jen get several of the basic metamagic feats for free (i.e. no spell level cost, no feat cost. They don't qualify for feats that depend on actually having the feat, but who cares?)
