| jeremytaylor702-01-08, 12:39 AM | I've been trying to find the rules for Rend and Improved Rend, but am coming up blank. Can anyone tell me what book they are in and what page the rules are on? I would greatly appreciate the help. |

Yes exactly, in the Monster Manual 1 there is monsters with Rend, Since it's not in the Player book already there should have the feat explained at the end of the book. Usually if the feat or ability isn't explain in any other core books, the description should be in the book you found it. Rend deals additional damage equal to the base damage of the smaller weapon or natural weapon plus 1 1/2 times the creature’s Strength modifier. Base weapon damage includes an enhancement bonus on damage, if any. The creature can only rend once per round, regardless of how many successful attacks he or she makes. |

Something along the lines of 3 hits = 3dx + damage * 2, 4 hit= 4dx+ damage * 2.5, etc. This progression could be used as the basis for an 'Improved Rend'. |

Multi-Weapon Rend (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#multiweaponRend) EL 63 You can rend opponents when fighting with more than two limbs. Rend Dr 73 You can rend opponents with your claws. Two-Weapon Rend PH2 84 You wield two weapons with an artisan's precision. ECS = Ebberon Campaign Setting EL = Epic Level Dr = Draconomicon These are the ones that look close from a search of the online feat index (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/feats&tablefilter=rend&tablesort=1) for 'rend'. |

You're thinking of the ToB maneuver called Girralon Windmill Rip (or something like that). |
