Retain Self (General)
Prereq: You must have been affected by some effect, magical or supernatural, that might change your alignment, or cause you to go against it.
Fluff: You have a strong sense of self. Hardly anything can effect your strength of mind.
Crunch: When affected by an alignment-altering affect, you may choose to shrug it off. Also, you gain a +2 bonus to saves versus Charms and Compulsions.

Underpowered? Overpowered? Discuss.

Seems balanced enough.

Compare it to Iron Will which gives a +2 to will saves across the board. This feat is much more situational (most if not all charms/compulsions require will saves), unlike Iron Will.

Based on which I'd probably bump it to +3 or +4, myself. Plus, Immunity to alignment-changing effects is so minor and out of the ordinary as to be almost a nonissue.

I think there's a feat out there (in Sandstorm?) that gives you a blanket +4 to saves vs. mind effecting effects...

Edit for clarity: "so minor and out of the ordinary" is meant as "it's a benefit that is fully possible to never be relevant in someone's whole adventuring career".

I agree.

You're correct. It's called Scorpion's Resolve.
