| gchristen08-19-07, 12:38 PM | Hi, Does anyone know the name of the feat that increases a rogue's sneak attack damage to d8 from d6? Im pretty sure such a feat exists, but im not sure what source book/material it came from. My current character is also a rogue .... are there any other feats that compliment the sneak attack ability? I found "Craven" already, just wondering if there are others. Any suggestions are appreciated - Thanks!! |

| bane_of_cuthbert08-19-07, 09:27 PM | I don't know of any to increase the die size, but a good one in general, is Deadly Precision from Expanded Psionics (not a clue why they put it in there), which lets you re-roll ones on sneak attack damage. |
| natzero08-19-07, 10:43 PM | could always take a dip in scout, and the: swift rogue? or something liek that. it allows scout levels to stack with rogue levels for the purpose of calculating skirmish damage. so it doesnt make your sneak attack do more damage, but a lets say: 5th level rogue/ 1st level scout would deal some damage. move up to your target (at least 10 feet) you deal weapon damage + 3d6 sneak attack + 2d6 skirmish damage. a 19th rogue / 1st scout weapon damage + 10d6 sneak attk + 5d6 skirmish and ur AC is 5 points higher till next turn ;p |
| Ulden10-04-07, 06:10 AM | I know this post is getting old but the book you're looking for is called "Feats" by AEG(Alderac Entertainment Group) The two feats are improved sneak attack and greater sneak attack. Improved requirements: BaB +2. Improved makes sneak attacks do one die size larger never surpassing d12. Superior has these requirements: BaB +8, feat "Alertness", Improved sneak attack. Superior makes your sneak attack do another die size larger never surpassing d12. Hence, halfling rogue=15d10 sneak attack at level 20 with some great gear. |

Also the feat which stacks rogue and scout is called Swift Ambusher, also in the same book. If you are playing a rogue, LOOK AT THAT BOOK. The feats are good, some are great, and the skill tricks (the 'sorta' feats) are mostly geared toward the rogue/scout/ninja/bard/swashbuckler on the move. |
| Mindolin10-04-07, 03:38 PM | A pretty good feat is Backstab, I forget where it was from, but if you are flanking an enemy and it attacks someone else, you get to make an attack against them. And since you are flanking, you get your sneak attack as well. |

| zenlike10-04-07, 10:13 PM | There are several cool SA feats in dragon #340. SA of Opportunity and Backstab being two of them. |

It's a bit obvious, but since Sneak Attack is per-attack, and you're only going to be using it in situations where the target's AC is artificially lowered, anyway, the TWF tree can work wonders. Like, 60d6 wonders, before the weapon damage itself. I think most of the non-core stuff is covered above, though. |
| 1 ton ghost10-05-07, 12:55 PM | Penetrating Strike (Ex) (Dungeonscape); class feature in lieu of Trap Sense (which sucks anyway). -1/2 sneak attack die vs. critters normally immune (undead, constructs, plants, etc.) |
