What do you think of this Rogue special ability I just thought of?:

"Exceptionally Skilled"
You get a +4 synergy bonus to skills you have have skill synergy with, instead of +2.

It seems in line power wise, but does not make a huge amount of role-playign sense to me.

as far as role playing goes, a character that took this ability gets the most out of his training and has a high intelligence. She can apply her knowledge in other fields in the best way to suit the situation.

I wouldn't take it.

Needs to be reworded to be compatible with epic progressions (as well as things such as high level cleric-rogues who should not really be denied their turning bonus, they'll need every bit they can get)

'Synergy bonuses gained from skill ranks grant an additional +2 increase to the relevant roll'

Not that I'd be likely to take this, but the same goes for a few of the standard abilities, too (defensive roll, anyone?)
