Just wondering:

Does anyone know if the Savage Species book is 3.5 edition? I want to take a few feats from it for my current Forgotten Realms campaign character :P

No, savage species is 3.0 material, mostly. However, the feats in it are still fit for 3.5. You only have to follow the new rules if there's been a change. For examples, ghaele presented in the last section have DR 10/+2, which has now been replace by DR 10/evil and cold iron and ghaele don't have LA anymore as the are no longer considered a race suited for PC (non epic at least), and Avoral's spell-likes have been slightly modified. Most of the rules are still usable.

what's the deal with that Roll With It feat? Is that really 3.5 legal?

There's another thread going about it at the moment, but what does everyone actually think? I mean, DR 2/- with each feat choice and it stacks? Isn't that kinda hacked?

Just take a look on the copyright page for the 3.5 books there is a phrase stating "This product uses updated material from the v3.5 revision". Even if there is no statement in the PHB on page 4 there is the sidebar that allows the 3.0 books to be used with the new version. You need to check with the DM to be sure.

wow, that's kinda crazy... I guess i should ask the DM first though; coming into the game i am currently in with DR 6/- might throw him off a bit :P

Roll with it is strong, but you need Con 20, which on average does not happen early in your carreer and requires lots of investment to get. On average of course, because everyone on these threads seems to always roll well above average stats.

Many prestige class grant some kind of DR, and although not many seem to realise, because of the changes there's been in DR mechanic from 3.0 to 3.5, DR 10/magic is quite decent against monsters, and Green star adept gain 10/adamantine which is almost as strong as 10/- against most enemies. Barbarian can get 6/-, so do dwarven defender.

You could get more with roll with it, but as I said con 20 is not something you usually get so early on. On average, a dwarf character (no template, elite stats set) could get con 20 by level 11, when he has sufficient money and levels, which would mean he can invest 3 feat in roll with it before epic level.

Also, as oppose to class feature DR, a simple poison or spell can lower you con under 20, which means you're unable to use the feat as long as your con remains lower than 20.
