| Shyune12-20-07, 04:54 PM | When exactly can I take advantage of the Shadowsun Ninja ability that gives me bonuses against other blind targets by blinding myself? Would a Solid Fog effectively blind everyone in its radius (since it grants total concealment to everyone else)? Would an Eversmoking Bottle? Is there anything barring the actual blind condition that could grant me these bonuses? |

In darkness, people without darkvision are considered blinded. :D Also, this concealment grants you the opportunity to make the hide check needed for your Light within darkness ability and grants you the darkness that grants your balance of light and dark self the +3 bonus on attack and damage rolls. Also note that your balance of light and dark grants you a bonus on the hide check needed for light within darness as well as allowing your touch of the shadow sun to heal you regardless of its setting (as both positive and negative energy damage heal you). The shadow sun ninja is awesome As for your examples, someone who cannot see (like someone in darkness) is blind. Someone who has their vision severely limited (either by smoke or fog) is not blinded. One more note: as darkness within light effectively deafens you as well, I think you can use it to avoid (or maybe it was get a bonus against) sonic or language-dependant effects. In addition, blindness grants you immunity to gaze attacks and patterns. Use your senselessness to your advantage. |
