If you have both shield charge and shield slam and make charge attack with your shield. Do you then get the chance to trip the opponent and daze him?

Also when using shield slam as a full round action, do you only get the chance to make a single attack with your shield or do you actually get a full attack? If you do get a full attack, then using a shield might actually be useful.

Shield Charge and Shield Slam are feats from Complete Warrior in case you didn't know.

Hmm. Well, from what I can see, yes, you can use shield charge and shield slam both from the same charge. It has nothing to say otherwise (and the fact that shield charge is a prerequisite for shield slam suggests that they are meant to be used together).

As for the full action, it says 'as a full-round action or as a charge action, you may make an attack with your shield against an opponent', which strongly suggests to me that you only get the chance to use your shield that round.

Frankly, if that's the case, then I'd rather just stick to charging and bashing with it. Heh.

...And FYI, shields are useful even without feats. (A +7 bonus to AC is pretty hefty, after all. That's a -35% chance to hit.) Although, it's impossible to live without them if you take the Shield Ward feat (found in PHB2). Shield AC to touch attacks? Frickin' sweeeet.
