Look, we all know that in a fantasy setting, a sorcerer's magical bloodline could be literally anything. So post your weird and outrageous sorcerer heritage feats here!

These aren't the best, but I'll start off the list:

#1.
Skiurid Heritage [General]
While others may claim dragons to be the ultimate source of arcane power, you are descended from the creature you know to be most powerful; the mighty skiurid!
Prerequisites: Sorcerer level 1st
Benefits: Hide and Move Silently are considered sorcerer class skills for you. You gain a +1 bonus on these skills for each feat you have that notes Skiurid Heritage as a prerequisite.

#2. Polymorphed Heritage [General]
You had an ancestor whose favorite spell was Polymorph. Maybe he cast it a little too often.
Prerequisites: Sorcerer level 1st
Benefits: You gain a +1 racial bonus on your caster level when casting Transmutation spells.

#3. Treant Heritage [General]
Some things are better left unknown.
Prerequisites: Sorcerer level 1st
Benefits:You can absorb 4 hours of direct sunlight instead of eating for the day. If you do not move for that period, you also do not need to drink for 24 hours.

Let's keep it going!

#4.Kobold Heritage
How the heck did this happen?
Prerequisite: Sorcerer level 1st
Benefits:You gain +4 ranks to hide and move silently. Str -2, Dex +2.

I think I'll play a Dragonwrought Kobold Sorceror with Kobold Heritage. That would be sweet.

#5 Mixed Heritage [heritage]
Your bloodline is a tangled tapestry of magical influence
Prerequisite: Sorceror level 1st, two heritage feats neither of which references the other as a prerequisite
Benefit: Whenever you gain a benefit from one of your heritage feats from casting a spell or sacrificing a spell slot, treat that spell as a spell of one level higher for the purpose of that feat. You count all your heritage feats for any effect that grants you a bonus based on the number of heritage feats you have of a certain type.

Might throw draconic heritage in there too, just for kicks

No matter what heritage you can come up with, nothing beats the Illithid heritage from Complete Psionic.

Read up on the origin of Illithids and how they reproduce. Having "traces" of Illithid blood just isn't possible.:P

Undead Heritage [heritage] (think Dawn of the Dead)
You were born neither dead, nor living though wield mastery of both. Though, no one can deny your Undead Heritage as you reek of rotting flesh and your blood is black and poisonious to others.
Prerequisite: Sorceror level 1st
Benefit: Negative Energy Heals you and you are Immune to drain abilities, disease and poison. Apon getting hit, you have a chance to poison someone with the Curse of Undead* (DC 15). You take -4 Cha.

*Curse of the Undead (i'm sooooo original)

Anyone inflicted with this curse, becomes an Undead in 3 days. Undead and other creatures with the "Undead" Template are unaffected. Those that cannot become Undead die instead.

Is there already a Curse of the Undead? Something that turns someone into an Undead? I don't know, i couldn't find it anywhere (Google!! How could you fail me?!?).

Lycanthropes [heritage]
You were born a natural Lycanthrope. However, unlike your fellow freaks, you have the ability to mimic other animals as well as your own alternative form, using your Arcane Power.
Prerequisite: Sorceror level 1st, Must be a Natural Lycanthrope
Benefit: The ability to change into any the following Lycanthrope Creatures at will (must follow Lycanthrope Rules, see Page 170 of the MM1 Core Rulebook);

Werewolf (Animal or Hybrid)
Wererat (Animal or Hybrid)
Wereboar (Animal or Hybrid)

I think that comes from the Illithid's experimentation on lesser races or something to that extent.:coolcthul

And, of course, there is also the precendent of the half-illithid template.
A wizard did it, of course, as usual for the freak combinations in D&D.

Probably just a decendant of one of those.
