skill trick question--swift concentration [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-29-07, 02:25 AM hey guys, i was wondering if you could give me some help on the Swift Concentration skill trick from Complete Scoundrel.

skill tricks, as the book states, can be used but once an encounter. Swift Concentration states that it allows you to maintain concentration on a spell as a swift action. does this mean one spell per encounter, that you can maintain as a swift action each round as long as you want, or can you only maintain one spell as a swift action for a single round per encounter?

07-29-07, 03:29 AM I would say just for the one round that you use the trick.

The Magical Trickster class I believe, can sacrifice spell slots to "regain" uses of Skill Tricks, so if you really want to use multiples this would probably be the way.

There is a feat or two that allows concentrating on things faster though, I forget the names.

07-29-07, 08:13 AM I don't know about this trick but a few tricks have other guidelines than the once per encounter rule.
