| Cartigan04-04-07, 01:05 PM | Don't slings fall in with thrown weapons? |
| lint trap04-04-07, 03:21 PM | Don't slings fall in with thrown weapons? Yeah, but it still takes a move action to reload them. I don't know of any feats, but I've houseruled that "Quick Draw" allows you to reload a sling as a free action (though it still takes both hands to reload, so no dual sling users). |
| jadehawk04-04-07, 03:41 PM | far shot is a good feat for thrown weapons...doubles the range increment. |
| Hsien04-04-07, 05:55 PM | If you are at least lvl 4 Fighter w/ Specialization. Ranged Weapon Mastery; Comp Warrior ( I think ) +2 Hit / +2 damage / +20 to range Increment |
| OravennasBrother04-04-07, 06:43 PM | Sling is NOT a thrown weapon -it is a missile weapon. By the SRD you still get your strength bonus as IF it were thrown, but the ammunition still is destroyed by a successful hit (as opposed to thrown weapons which are re-usable) and it is still bought at ammunition enchanment/masterwork rates. It has always struck me a ssilly that they allow rapid reload on a Crossbow and NOT a sling, but I'm sure someone will cite "Bakance" as the reason. |

I'd rule Rapid Reload applied to it but since it's house rule it is an "either or" scenario. |
