Has this been provided somewhere? i have a dragon that needs to swallow some PCs but i should know how easy/hard it will be for them to get out! also, does the AC change inside (like on the purple worm)? Furthermore, would a Fang Dragon do damage as one size larger, or is it extra sharp and pokey only on the outside? |

| tyrecian04-17-07, 05:51 PM | i have seen it in the description of the bullette (or Behir, i cant remember now, both are random encounters in an adventure i was running) at the SRD D20 thing. I generally tend to extrapolate from that. For a dragon i would say that its the same AC as its natural armor (since its a gizzard, this has been argued before) but that they can cut out and then it reseals allowing for multiple swallows. At any rate, it gives a reasonable number of HPs for the characters to have to get through. for the EXACT rules, good luck, someone will post em ...maybe :P good luck ;) on edit: prolly just sharp and pokey on the outside. I cant see any reason for the evolution of spikes and such inside the body of a creature beyond the mouth... Acid is nature's answer to that little problem. Depending on what they eat, maybe you could put some nasty acid in the gizzard. Don't be too harsh though, i have had that backfire when the wizzy was the first to get swallowed because the PCs were morons (i figured that the fighter would get swallowed and suitably warn the party that the gizzard was nasty)... |
| aotrscommander04-17-07, 06:38 PM | liviajulia, I sent you a PM (if you haven't already seen) with my best guess. (I was waiting until the WizOs cleared the spam so they didn't miss it!) |

I figured that getting additional ability drain every round was WAY too much hurt after getting swallowed (and, logically, i figured it was like venom anyway), so i thought maybe that this demon influenced dragon had weird physiology with nasty teeth in its throat and gizzard (on a side note, why would a dragon need a gizzard? doesn't it do all of its chewing in its mouth?). or maybe 1 point ability drain/round if i'm feeling grouchy that night. |
