| Bedlamtom10-23-07, 02:10 PM | I remember there being a feat that allows one to sneak attack undead, another for constructs, and yet a 3rd for plants. Am I having visions because I cannot seem to find them now that I look. Please tell me that I'm not insane, on this topic at least, and tell me where they are. Thanks |
| Eerongal10-23-07, 02:18 PM | you seem to be thinking of the weapon crystals from MIC that you attach to a weapon and allow you to do as such. |
| MnemonicSV10-23-07, 04:52 PM | The Razing Strike feat (Complete Adventurer) allows one to add sneak attack damage to Constructs or Undead, depending on whether you sacriface an Arcane spell or Divine spell respectively. The feat does of course have a caster level prerequisite. Plus, it's not really a sneak attack... your sneak attack damage merely determines the bonus damage inflicted by using this feat (on top of the damage inflicted according to the spell level expended). That means you can't use this feat to make any [ambush] feats work against these creatures, if you should have any. If dealing extra damage to undead/constructs/plants is your thing, a Ranger/Scout build with the Swift Hunter feat (Complete Scoundrel) can deal skirmish damage to such creatures, if they are also favoured enemies. |

There are no feats that do what you stated; instead there are spells: Grave Strike for undead Golem Strike for constructs Vine Strike for plants These are all immediate action spells, and all for different caster classes. |
| zenlike10-23-07, 08:05 PM | There is also a Rogue option in Dungeonscape (?) that lets you add 1/2 your SA damge to undead, constructs, etc. You have to give up trap sense, I believe. Not sure what the option is called though. Precision Strike? or something like that. I don't have the book with me so I don't have the specifics.:P |
| BugHunter10-23-07, 08:33 PM | Zenlike, You are right, the feature is called Penetrating Strike in Dungeonscape page 13. It does have limits. |

| Greco10-24-07, 04:33 AM | Complete Champion rogue variant can. |
| Tordak10-24-07, 09:56 AM | Zenlike, You are right, the feature is called Penetrating Strike in Dungeonscape page 13. It does have limits. If I remember correctly, it only works when you flank the creature. Even if denied their dex bonus (i.e. flat-footed), it doesn't work unless their flanked. Obviously, creatures that can't be flanked are not affected. |
| Eerongal10-24-07, 10:10 AM | Good to know that, at least, I am not insane.:D Hey, now, we never said that, just that you were right :P It's worth noting that the complete champion variant doesnt let you sneak attack undead, per se. It lets you deal 2 points of extra damage for every sneak attack dice you have anytime your attack would be a "sneak attack" on the undead. Example: If you have 3D6 Sneak attack, and you are flanking a zombie, you deal +6 damage for each sneak attack qualifying attack. Note that if you are able to SA undead (through any of the other mentioned ways) that this does not replace your SA. Meaning if the affore mentioned example had the weapon crystals from MiC (or gravestrike, etc) they would deal +3D6+6. Which would actually make your sneak attacks better against the undead than any living creature. Makes a kinda cool idea for a rogue who hates the undead, in my opinion. |
| Tordak10-24-07, 10:26 AM | I also recall PrCs who give that option, I can remember there's one in the complete adventurer (don't remember the name) and one from the Miniature Handbook ( I think that one's called Skull Hunter or som'in like that). |

| draco111910-25-07, 06:23 AM | There are also Deathstrike Bracers in the MIC that allow you to crit/SA anything and everything, IIRC. :) |
| BugHunter10-25-07, 09:08 AM | There are also Deathstrike Bracers in the MIC that allow you to crit/SA anything and everything, IIRC. :) Sure you can crit/SA anything but only when activated and three times per day. |
| JEF10-25-07, 03:42 PM | SA is available whenever denied dex bonus or flanked. The rogue version, anyway. I'm not familiar with all your crazy precision/ninja/hoocha sneak attack look alikes. |
