I'm looking for a feat, spell, or item that lets one use sneak attack (even a weakened version!) against aberrations.

I've got a Rogue/Druid who believes Aberrations are against the natural order (and is looking at Abolisher once epic). Sneak attack damage to the specific type would fit in nicely with this concept.

Unless the Aberration has a specific special ability that forbids it (such as the Beholder's 'can't be flanked', which admittedly is only partial protection), Aberrations are already sneak-attackable.

Aberrations can be sneak attacked because they do have a discernable anatomy. It may be a completely unnatural one when compared to "normal" creatures, but it's there.

As for sneak attacking Undead, there is a varient that replaces your Trap Sense that allows you to do that. I believe its in Complete Champion and/or Castle Ravenloft.

It's called Penetrating Strike from both Dungeonscape and Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. It only works against foes that you're flanking, but is otherwise very good.

MIC has an augment crystal that lets you sneak attack undead. relativly cheap. They also have one for doing it to constructs for even cheaper.

Also, grave strike from the Spell Compendium is a 1st level swift-cast divine spell that lets you Sneak Attack undead for one round.

Complete champion should have a variant which lets you swap out trap sense for the ability to deal 1/2 your normal sneak attack damage to undead.

IMHO, in most cases Grave Strike + UMD is the way to go, unless you're in a really undead-heavy campaign, and you expect to be fighting undead all the time. Giving up a feat to be able to SA a enemy type you're only going to be fighting occasionally isn't worth it, IMHO.

Scrolls, and, once you can afford it, a Wand of Grave Strike ain't all that expensive, and since it's only a 1st level spell, and it's also relatively easy to activate w/UMD.

A Rogue with a good UMD score, and wands of Grave Strike and Golem Strike, can SA the vast majority of enemies you're likely to run into. There's still a few that slip through the cracks, but not many.

Unfortunately, wands always require a standard action to activate, so a wand of Grave/Golem/Vine Strike is pretty useless.

Oops, I forgot about that :embarrass ; our group house rules that away. . . in our games, Wands of spells w/ casting time of swift, and be used as a swift action.

You can buy wands/scrolls with a metamagic feat built in. Grave Strike plus Extend Spell is still only 2nd level, so wands that would give you a full round of sneak attack would be pretty affordable. You'll still need to spend the standard action to activate.
