Prereqs: base attack +1 I am considering a limitation that makes it only work if all the allies infront of you also have this feat, but that might be too much. What do you think? Is there already a feat the does basically this? How would you tweak this? Is it any good? I thought it would be usfull for phalanx style fighters. |
| tarkin07-02-07, 06:18 PM | Ignore all cover? Even total Cover? So I can stick my spear through my buddie's back and attack the guy that has total cover from him? I would not allow total cover, but aside from that, it looks reasonable. |
| Mentar07-02-07, 06:40 PM | Errata from PHB states "creatures, even your enemies, can provide you with cover against ranged attacks." Changed from melee. Creatures don't give melee cover, even against reach weapons. Unless I am missing something else. |
| tarkin07-02-07, 06:44 PM | Reach weapons specifically say to treat it like a ranged weapon with regards to cover. |
| Werral07-02-07, 06:57 PM | I'd say that you ignore any allies that also have this feat - that'd probably make it of more use to NPC warriors though (units of pikemen and such). Unless the PC's want to play a bunch of Spartans... |
| Mentar07-02-07, 07:30 PM | ok, missed the reach as ranged part there, was looking everywhere else. Another option would be to make it a tactical feat, taking the option of shield wall defense (where you are not considered cover to allies) and over the wall (where you allies are not considered cover to you). Prereqs could be: Tower shield proficiency, Proficiency in a reach weapon Or use the teamwork idea to create a training plan to do the job. |
