Comming up on 9th level as my Spellthief I'm looking to take the arcane Strike feat, a few questions came to mind.

I'm looking at the crystal keep webpage, and there are some lacking descriptions.

First: It says the benifit of the arcane strike is +2 to attack and +1d4 for each spell level used. I thought it was only a +1 to attack and the d4 per spell level, which is right?

Second: if I steal or 'borrow' a spell (4th level as my current highest) I can then use that spell with my arcane strike right?
example: I get Dimension Door from some Wizard and then my next attack I use arcane strike I get to add +4 (or +8whatever the correct bit is) and +4d4 damage, losing the recently stolen Dimension door.
This is assume to be correct. But leads into the other questions.

Third: what about divine spells? If I am slicing up a cleric and get thier spells, now that they are mine, are the spells still considered Divine? Or since I am considred a arcane caster does this mean I can then use those spells with my Arcane strike?

Fourth: What about the Warlock? I've got a lock who loves to 'loan' me her spells, now the warlock spells are considered spell like abliltes. This means I couldn't use that for my arcane strike correct?
For example getting a use of her eldrich blast from her then using the levels of the blast as an arcane strike.

That's a good start. Lemme know. I don't have the books in front of me and the crystal keep page doesnt explain everything in full detail.

Thanks

The description in Complete Warrior is, of course, the correct one.

I would say this works.

I'd have to check the text of the spell stealing ability for that one, and I'm not at my books. Sorry.

Warlocks don't have spells. You can borrow their SLA's with the "steal spell like ability" ability of the spell theif, but I don't think you could use that to power an arcane strike.

you definately cannot power arcane strike with spell-like abilities. If you could, warlocks could get infinite damage loops, since burning a spell is free and the damage stacks with itself (even though the bonus to hit does not.)

Ya that's what I thought, but I figured it'd be worth asking. No worries about the warlock bit.
