| Adonis1x2303-20-08, 03:14 AM | I am currently in the midst of creating a rogue(UA fighter feat variant)/Fighter, and came across a problem... How do TWF and Spring Attack work? Does it at all? It only says "make an attack after a move action" it doesnt clairify if it is a standard or what. So yes, how would that work? Its not build breaking. I would probably keep it anyway just for some variety if it doesnt work, but still I just want to know. |
| mplindustries03-20-08, 03:33 AM | In Short: they do not work together. Spring Attack (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/feats.htm#springAttack) actually does explain. "When using the attack action with a melee weapon, you can move both before and after the attack, provided that your total distance moved is not greater than your speed..." So its specifically an attack action. That is one single attack, or anything you could substitute for an attack roll (grapple, disarm, trip, etc.) That is it. |
| Adonis1x2303-20-08, 03:43 AM | So just one attack, or one attack with each? |
| zeratulcraft03-20-08, 04:08 AM | One attack roll. |
| Adonis1x2303-20-08, 04:17 AM | Dang... Okay, well thanks |
| foxtail03-20-08, 08:24 AM | The 5th-level ability of the Tempest prestige class will let you attack with both weapons during a Spring Attack, but that's the only way that comes to mind. |
| Rebel728403-20-08, 09:55 AM | there is the bounding assault feat. there is also rapid blitz feat. |
| Belkar03-20-08, 10:05 AM | As a general rule, most anytime you're going to make more than one attack per round (ever) - it requires a full round action to do so. IE: no movement beyond a 5' step. [shrug] This goes for TWF, Iterative Attacks (multiple attacks due to a high BAB), Rapid Shot, etc. Only higher level class features and super-awesome feats allow to bypass this restriction. |
