I was thinking about playing binder1 crusader 6 half celestial (LA 2 in book of exalted deeds), with nebarius bound. If I get myself healed through crusader abilities, that should stop the bleeding, which would allow stigmata to function again... Could I not constantly stigmata, and use binder to regenerate the constitution damage? |

Anything that cancels the bleeding should of course remove the feat from your character. I am sure you don't want that. It would be like asking the Catholic Pope to please cast Create Greater undead on the body of Jesus. Your prestige class combo does not over-ride the clear intention of the feat. Look, the combo is powerfull enoguh with you being allowed to heal the Con loss after a mere 1 hour. |
| Fallenangel35906-18-07, 02:57 PM | it says the bleeding persists for 1 hour. Regular bleeding persists for a random amount of time. Nor does it say it functions in any way different than regular bleeding. Either way, neither says it can't be stopped, and one of them says it can. It just calls it bleeding, so its subject to bleeding rules... Though I can see why a DM would say "don't do it." |
| tarkin06-18-07, 03:46 PM | This is not normal bleeding. Normal bleeding can be stopped by a bandage. It specifically says "they bleed for an hour". It does not say "They bleed for an hour unless stopped." This is something you do to yourself - you have to totally ignore all rules of the game to take the benefit but say "hey, I don't have to take the penalty. It is not "A DM might read it that way". Instead it is "Any DM that is not going to let you get away with crap will see it that way". Click here to look up Stigamata on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stigmata) Assuming you are a christian believer, Stigmata are officially Miraculous, according to the Christian Pope. The wounds are declared Holy. It specifically mentions that some stigmata do not clot. This is wikipedia, not WoTC book. But it is what the ability you describe is based on. They are holy wounds. The stuff does not clot, can not be healed without removing the holyness. |
